HOW SCRIBER WORKS

Scriber Pro processes all transcription tasks locally on your Mac using:

whisper.cpp: Open‑source speech recognition that runs entirely offline
FFmpeg: Open‑source media processing for audio/video conversion
Local storage: All transcriptions are saved only to your chosen location on your Mac

Your files never leave your device during the transcription process.

OPTIONAL ICLOUD SYNC

If you enable iCloud sync in Scriber Pro:

Transcription records sync between your own Apple devices through your iCloud account
Apple's standard iCloud privacy protections apply
Data remains encrypted and accessible only to you
You can disable iCloud sync at any time in app settings

We do not have access to your iCloud data — this sync happens directly between your devices and Apple's servers using Apple's CloudKit framework.
